Leading ESC Service Providers in the New York Area
For over 30 years the CP Energy team has helped schools across New York State improve their learning environments by upgrading their facilities. This work, which totals more than $4.5 billion, covers every conceivable type of project ranging from new STEM classrooms to new buildings, and infrastructure upgrades to make sure the lights stay on, the environment is healthy, and the buildings are heated and cooled.

Our staff has expertise in a range of areas including
While our expertise extends to many areas one of the most critically important is finance because that is the starting point for most facility programs.
01.
Finance
- We provide financial guidance through all phases of project development from concept to completion.
- We have relationships that can be leveraged with financiers.
- We have knowledge and relationships with local utilities and government agencies to secure grants and rebates.
02.
Permitting
- We have extensive experience in guiding design teams to create documents that will comply with local codes to save time and money.
- We use our knowledge of codes to optimize architectural and engineering designs to meet client's expectations.
- We leverage our project experience to avoid pitfalls created when documents do not comply with codes from day one.
03.
Design & Construction
- We have lead teams installing more than $5 billion in projects since 1984.
- We have been responsible for a wide range of projects from new construction to rehabilitations to renovations to historic redevelopments.
- We are leaders in transforming facilities into modernized, energy efficient, model buildings and campuses.
04.
Measurement & Verification
- We believe in measuring and verifying building performance to ensure long-term savings.
- We provide services to owners to show them how their energy performance is making their buildings, campuses, and surrounding communities environmentally cleaner and healthier.
- We create programs that are tailored to meet the expectations and requirements of each owner instead of a “one-size-fits-all” approach.

Resources
NYSERDA offers objective information and analysis, innovative programs, technical expertise, and support to help New Yorkers increase energy efficiency, save money, use renewable energy, and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
CPACE-Commercial property-assessed clean energy is a financing structure in which building owners borrow money for energy efficiency, renewable energy, or other projects and make repayments via an assessment on their proporty tax bill.
Among many different utilites incentives, FlexTech (Flexible Technical Assistance) is one of the programs NYSERDA offers. The FlexTech program shares the cost to produce an objective, site-specific, and targeted study on how best to implement clean energy and/or energy effiency technologies.
A building management system (BMS) is a computer-based control system installed in buildings that controls and monitors the building’s mechanical and electrical equipment such as ventilation, lighting, power systems, fire systems, and security systems. A BMS consists of software and hardware, the software program, usually configured in a hierarchical manner.
An energy management system (EMS) is a system of computer-aided tools used by operators of electric utility grids to monitor, control, and optimize the performance of the generation or transmission system. Also, it can be used in small scale systems like microgrids
